“Before the bootcamp, I played a bit with clicker training, but I was quite unsure about how to approach it. I was worried about how much I would get out of participating in the program, but fortunately, I was proven wrong. The bootcamp has provided fantastic insight into using clicker training, which has made me more aware when applying clicker training.
It has been truly amazing to see what the horse can ‘learn’ without having to pressure it, but instead, letting it offer behaviors on its own.
So, the program has given me a great way to give my horse a voice in training: it can say yes or no, which has resulted in a happy and cooperative horse. At the same time, I have trained my patience and realized that small steps are worth their weight in gold.
